Canada's first TDX Labrador was Ch,OTCh Mossbanks
Merry Majorette TDX, owned, trained and handled by Mary Bates, of Victoria,
BC.in 1968. The second TDX Labrador in Canada was her daughter, OTCh
Devileen's Raven Beauty, bred, owned, trained and handled by Mary Bates, who
completed her TDX title in 1970.
Canada's first UTD Labrador was Keybrooke's Prince Henry,
TDX-UTD-CD-WC-RA, YM, Laura McKay, Guelph, Ont., who earned his title in
August/06 at one of the first Urban tests held in Canada.
Not many dogs earn two Tracking titles in one w/e, but Decoyhill's
Highland Fling TD-TDX-UTD-WC, a yellow female trained and handled by Neil
Faddis of Sudbury, Ont. earned her TDX and UTD on the same w/e in early
Oct., 2006. She was Canada's second UTD Labrador. In May, 2008, when she earned her UTDX, was Canada's first labrador TRACKING CHAMPION, and one of the first all-breeds to earn this title in Canada.
The following dogs have all earned Tracking titles. Some have also earned
Obedience titles, working titles in the field, or Show Championships.
